Here's how to get started

So glad your cacao has arrived. On this page you'll find everything you need to get started right away. Choose what you received below and we'll walk you through how to prepare and enjoy your cacao, step by step.

Cacao Bars

One bar, one cup of cacao

Our Cacao Bars are solid single-serving portions of 36 grams. No measuring needed, just melt the bar directly into warm water or plant-based milk. You can also eat a Cacao Bar straight as a rich, pure cacao snack.

Dosage: use one full Cacao Bar for a full cup of cacao. New to pure cacao or sensitive to caffeine and theobromine? Start with half a bar.

How to prepare in 3 steps

  1. Warm up about 200 ml of water or plant-based milk. Don't let it boil.
  2. Add the Cacao Bar and stir gently until fully melted. Use a whisk or a milk frother for a wonderfully creamy drink.
  3. Make it yours: add a little honey to sweeten or a pinch of cinnamon for a spicier touch.
Cacao Blocks

Pure cacao, your way

With a Cacao Block, you decide how much cacao you use. Shave or grate a piece from the block and adjust the amount to your taste and the moment. Our pure cacao is available from India and Peru.

Dosage: start with around 15 to 20 grams if you're new to pure cacao. Use 20 to 25 grams for a daily cup and around 30 to 40 grams for a fuller, more ceremonial experience.

How to prepare

  1. Grate or shave the desired amount from the block.
  2. Warm up about 200 ml of water or plant-based milk and add the cacao.
  3. Stir or froth until the cacao is fully melted and smooth.
Ritual Sets

Step by step into a mindful ritual

Did you receive a Ritual Set? Then we're going a little deeper, with the softness of Blue Lotus and the power of setting intentions.

The Blue Lotus infusion

Inside your set you'll find dried Blue Lotus flowers. We use these to make an infusion. An infusion is a lot like making tea: you let the flowers steep in hot water so their gentle properties and flavors slowly release into the liquid. Blue Lotus is known for its calming effect and helps you settle into the moment more easily.

  1. Make the infusion: bring about 200 ml of water close to boiling and add 2 grams of Blue Lotus flowers. Let it steep for 8 to 10 minutes.
  2. Strain and cool: strain out the flowers. Then let the infusion cool down to around 70 degrees so the cacao keeps its full character when it melts.
  3. Melt the cacao: add a Cacao Bar to the warm infusion and stir until fully melted.
  4. Froth it up: use a milk frother for a full creamy layer and add honey or cinnamon to taste.
  5. Begin your ritual: now light the incense and take out your intention card. While you slowly sip your cacao, write down what you want to invite in or let go of.
Safety and Blue Lotus:
Blue Lotus has a subtle but noticeable effect on the nervous system. Do not use it during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, or in combination with medication such as antidepressants. When in doubt, always consult your doctor or pharmacist.
